Minoxidil (Mandil) is indicated for the treatment of alopecia androgenetica (male pattern baldness)

  • Minoxidil is for external use only. Do not apply to areas of the body other than the scalp.
  • Hair and scalp should be thoroughly dry prior to the topical application of the solution. A dose of 1g (equivalent to the volume of half a capful) of minoxidil should be applied to the total affected areas of the scalp twice daily. The total dosage should not exceed 2g. It may take twice-daily applications for 8-16 weeks before evidence of hair growth can be expected. Users should discontinue use if there is no improvement seen after 16 weeks.
  • Special populations
    • There are no recommendations for use in elderly patients or in patients with renal or hepatic impairment
  • Pediatric Populations
    • Minoxidil is not recommended for use in children below the age of 18 years due to lack of data on safety and efficacy
  • Directions for Use
    • Open the cap of the bottle
    • To get the right quantity for application, squeeze the dropper in the bottle
    • Release to squeeze 1mL quantity is in the dropper
    • Pour the contents onto the center of the affected scalp area
    • Spread it evenly with your fingertips
